Hi everyone!
Happy spring! We’ve made it through the winter. (Although, honestly, who else out there kinda likes the winter because the cold is a good excuse to curl up with your cat and some tea and A BOOK?!)
LOTS has been going on between the Kickstarter campaign and now. Here are the highlights.
COMING SUMMER 2023
So, we’d been thinking we’d open our doors this spring, but because of construction delays (aren’t there always construction delays?) we are now planning to open this summer. As soon as I have an exact date, I will let you all know. In the meantime, check out our website, ParenthesesBooks.com, where you can buy gift cards, tote bags and you can link to our Bookshop.org site for books, of course! We very much appreciate your support!
TOTE BAGS
Personally, I never have enough tote bags. Tote your books! Tote your laptop! Tote your cat! Look how excited Mac was when the box arrived.
As mentioned above, tote bags are now available for purchase on our website!
THE SPACE
Our corner spot in the Liberty Street Mercantile has come a long way since the fall.
GRAND OPENING BOOKMARK DESIGN CHALLENGE (For kids)
Know any elementary schoolers who might want to help us design a bookmark? We will choose one design to be featured in the store when we open this summer! Email the completed form to parenthesesbookstore@gmail.com by April 28.
BOOK RECOMMENDATION(S)
I have to give a little shout out to the author, Mary Laura Philpott, who has become one of my favorites. I read her first book recently and am now reading her most recent. They are both memoirs in essays. Both honest, genuine, heartfelt and hilarious. I can’t recommend them enough!
